The first and foremost thing is that both types of waxes are non-toxic. And both emit some amount of soot. The difference here is that soy wax candles soot is not as dark as paraffin candles. The amount of soot depends on different factors. Like wick gauge, wick length etc.

    Soy wax is considered environmental friendly because it’s a renewable source. And paraffin made from crude oi. Soy wax is derived from soybean. Soy wax is a hydrogenated oil that turns to solid state at room temperatures.
    Soy wax candles are highly recommended for pregnant, a house with kids, pets etc. Because it is the safest option health-wise.

  2. SOY WAX OR PARAFFIN? BURN & SOOT

    Soy wax burns cleaner as compared to paraffin which gives black soot. When you burn paraffin wax, it produces blank soot.

    From health point of view, soy wax won here again. Soy wax is a healthier alternative as compared to paraffin candles. Soy wax candles don’t release dangerous carcinogens into the air when melted. On the other hand, when you burn or melt a paraffin wax/candle, it releases 11 known toxins.

  4. SOY WAX CANDLES LAST LONGER

    As the wax burns, paraffin wax wastes and it clings to the sides of the container (wax warmer or candle). Whereas soy wax burns evenly and therefore it lasts 50% longer.

    Soy wax candle’s scents are stronger. Because they burn cleaner and so the scent from essential oils is more pleasant and stronger-smelling.
